I want more hours in the day!

Was it really more than a week since my last entry? Wow...time really does go quickly! I have had a busy-busy week. Working 7 days straight, 2 days at Hornbach and 5 days at Axis. I have been volunteering for the Red Cross at a home for homeless women and been to a meeting with the Red Cross. I'm really looking forward to getting more involved.

Besides this I've been keeping up my work-outs: spinning, bodystep, bodypump, running (20km in one week).

Yesterday I was at an information meeting for STS travels. I've applied for position as either leader or staff for the summer. It's not something which will make me rich, but it does sound like something I would really enjoy. Job interview is tomorrow afternoon. Slightly nervous. So many applicants. Chances of being picked are not awesome. I will simply have to do my best to stand out... Suggestions and advice are welcome :)
After such a week I only hope that next one will be bit calmer, or perhaps simply that we all could have more hours in the day! That would solve a lot of my problems...

What a week!!!

This has been a week like no other, and I'm happy that it's pretty much over. Monday I worked at Hornbach as usual. On tuesday I started my new job. I squeezed in three trainings during the week. And oh, yeh did I mention that it was also exam week for the course I'm doing. Or actually I think I will end that course now. There is simply not enough hours of the day to do a full time course at the same time as a full time job and then do training on top of that. I mean I want to have a social life as well.

Today I have done a good workout: 5km running, 1 hour bodypump and 1 hour latino explosion. Then I have relaxed infront of the telly, gone a for a short walk with my sister (who is home for a long weekend), and then had pizza w la familia. They called from HB, they needed me to work tomorrow. So basically this is becoming a very short weekend and my next week of work starts already sunday :/ oh well... good pay! :)

First day

First day at AXIS is officially done! It was horrible cold stormy weather. I could'nt feel my legs by the time I reached my work place. There was a lot of information to take in today so head deffo hurt a bit by the time I was going home. Work seems really good, I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
Finished the day with gym :P ... of course!

LATEST NEWS: NEW JOB!

I have some major news! As of yesterday (friday), it is official: I have a new job! Sure it's only a temp job, but it's full time (40hours/week). I applied for the job (via recruitment agency: studentconsulting) last friday. I got a phonecall on wednesday and invited to interview thursday. The first interview went great and the agency picked me among the candidates. Friday morning I had an interview at the company I will be working for. It went just as great, and 1 hour later I got the phonecall saying I got the job! The company is "AXIS communications". They are the leader in security and network cameras in the world. So when you see a security camera, think of me! :P My position is called "administrator" in the logistics team. I will be dealing with custom papers, exports, imports... basically lots of numbers and using excel. They asked me if I have any previous knowledge/experience of this, and I honestly said no. And still they wanted me. I'm looking forward to doing some new and different.

Besides that, today I've done Indoor Walking, Bodypump and Latino Explosion.

Tonight, Lina and I are going out to celebrate hers and my new job. Hope you all have as great a weekend as I do!

Until next time...

Kalmariten Erika

So as stated in my previous blog I went to see my sister in Kalmar this weekend just passed. Three nights I spent sleeping on an inflatable matress. I truly felt like a student again... for 3 days. Their kitchen I must say made my kitchen in England look truly shitty! It was big, lots of space and it was clean. The table could actually be used for sitting down and eating!
Was nice to spend some quality time with the sis. Lots of nice food (she is turning into quite the lil chef), some exercise (swimming, core, spinning), shopping, touristing (well not much - there's really only one thing to really see: the castle)... and last but not least we finalized our plans for our trip. We have decided to go to Italy 28th of March - 4th of April. We will first spend 3 nights in Rome, then 2 nights Naples (see Pompei), and then another 2 nights in Rome. Our thought was that around that time of year its uncertain to go on a beach holiday, but its the perfect time to explore cities. It will be spring weather and hence lighter clothes. How wonderful it will be... a pair of jeans, a top and a cardigan :) No more warm boots, hats, gloves and scarfs. Can't wait! March 2011 will be awesome!!

Here's some photos from the weekend...
