Run Emma, RUN!

First time ever my sister and I did a proper race (besides a 1,5km race for kids a billion years ago). Yesterday (tuesday 24th of May) it was the annual Blodomloppet, a race in favour of blood donation. As a special birthday present for Erika I had entered us both to run 10km. She got other stuff as well - I'm not a terrible sister. (Took her to see the new Pirates film. It was entertaining but not fantastic).

The rain was pooring down, but just before the start it stopped and the sky turned blue. It was sunshine the whole race through. I'm very proud of both myself and my sister. There was 500-something women completing the 10k race.
Results: Erika placed 107th (50:11min) and I placed 52nd (47:51). We both agreed that is was not the last time we'll do a race like that.

Staff training in Göteborg

This weekend it was Staff training with STS in Göteborg (Gothenburg) friday 13 - sunday 15. It was a long, interesting, exhausting and fun weekend. I felt like a spounge sucking up all the information, suggestions and instructions. I'm so tired now! I can't tell if I'm mostly nervous or excited. Maybe 50/50? All I hope is that I will be able to live up to the expectations and fill my role as good as humanly possible. I will try to keep this blog better updated in the summer than I have the last month or so.

SUMMER JOB - CHECK!

My summer is saved! I can't believe how lucky I am to have scored the job I was interviewed for. I will be working as staff for STS språkresor. My position is "Activity Coordinator". I will be located at the island Jersey the whole summer. Doesn't look bad at all judging from the pictures I googled. Next weekend I will be going to Gotherburg for a weekend course to prepare me for the job . Bit nervous, but so very exciting!
